The Founder and Executive Director of both Dark Horse Capital and our development manager, PB&Co., Michael has extensive experience in property finance, wealth management, advice and construction. He started his career in the mortgage industry before making the transition to advisory in 2007, where he has been involved in an executive role for the past 11 years. Under his directorship, his advisory firm grew to provide a wide spectrum of financial services, from mortgage broking to advice. He also gained experience in identifying, acquiring and managing residential property projects, with a focus on urban infill projects in Melbourne and Brisbane.

Alex is a financial strategist and residential property developer with extensive executive experience that spans the globe.

Beginning his career as a CPA, Alex’s professional repertoire includes financial controller roles with Swiss-Swedish multinational corporation ABB as well as Nordic Capital, which focuses primarily on private equity fund investments in northern Europe.

An entrepreneurial leader, Alex works closely with senior stakeholders to develop and execute financial and operational strategies to facilitate company expansion, simplifying complex financial concepts to non-financiers to expedite and streamline outcomes.

Possessing a passion for property development, Alex has developed and project-managed the construction of residences in Melbourne’s south-east, from ultra-modern townhouses to French-Provincial dwellings. Drawing inspiration from European design and partnering with renowned architects, Alex has an eye for timeless architecture and a refusal to settle for second best.

Paul Maunder is Dark Horse Capital’s organisational and performance manager. He has held a number of Senior Consultant and management positions over the past 40 years, with extensive executive experience in finance and construction.
